In addition to Fire & EMS, Washington Township provides a number of other outstanding services to the community that include the following:
Automatic External Defibrillators or AEDs are becoming more common in public places, businesses, and even private homes. Many who learn CPR also learn how to use an AED with CPR, providing the potential for bystander response that can really make a difference in a cardiac arrest victim’s outcome.
Washington Township offers three types of background check services: FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), BCI (Bureau of Criminal Investigation), and FBI and BCI.
Make an appointment to have your child car seat properly secured in your car. Car seat installations are conducted by National Child Passenger Safety Board-certified technicians. Appointments are required and take about 30 minutes per car seat.

The Washington Township Community Garden is located at the corner of Cosgray Rd. and Rings Rd. at Amlin Crossing Park. Plots are 12′ x 14′. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to learn and maintain your garden for the duration of the growing season.
Practice the steps of operating a portable fire extinguisher, then test your skills on a live fire (generated and controlled using our special training equipment). This program requires indoor and outdoor space.
The Washington Township Fire Department will assist your business in practicing fire drills so everyone is prepared and knows what to do in case there is a fire. If you would like to schedule a fire drill, please fill out a request a program form.

Washington Township offers meeting room space to Township residents, by appointment only. To place a request for meeting room use, complete the form by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
The Washington Township Fire Department offers safety talks on a variety of topics: fire, falls prevention, medication, and bicycle safety. These talks can be scheduled for businesses, community groups, schools, etc. If you would like to schedule a safety talk, please fill out a request a program form.
Do you need help changing the batteries in your home’s smoke alarms? Call (614) 652-3920 Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Provide your name and Washington Township/Dublin address.
If someone in your home has short- or long-term special needs, make sure to sign up for the Washington Township Special Needs Registry. The registry lets first responders know you family member’s medical needs while en route to your home in the event of an emergency.
The Washington Township Fire Department offers station tours for school groups, community groups and residents to learn more about our operations and fire safety. The Vial of Life is a form to share information about your family members’ medical history, allergies, insurance, medications, emergency contacts and doctors.
